Tom Bridgewater, Founder
Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, and growing up as the right-hand man to his father’s every renovation project, Tom was raised with a hammer in his hand. While he briefly put down the tools to embark on an early career in advertising, Tom soon traded in building brands for building dream homes, turning his hand back to the construction industry to launch a career in project management.
Starting out as a site-turned-project manager for New Zealand’s most highly regarded commercial construction and fit-out company, Tom’s career inspired a move to London to further his knowledge and expertise for his true passion - high-end residential construction, in one of the most reputable construction markets in the world. Over the course of his five years based in Britain’s capital, Tom was entrusted to lead the construction works on some of the country’s most sought-after residences and for the highest-profile clients, spanning global business magnates through to members of royalty, and of values between £5,000 through to £9 million. As well as the management of such projects and widely diverse teams, he also established the Small Works division for residential construction firm, Bailey & Jones, where he oversaw all works undertaken by the company that were valued at under £500,000.
Tom’s time in London exposed him to some of the most impressive materials, tradespeople, techniques and processes known to the construction industry, and after his recent return to New Zealand – now with his own little right-hand man and lady, Cooper and Miller, in tow – he can’t wait to draw on this experience to create world-class spaces for his clients in one of the best locations in the world.
